Carnaby's Bar & Restaurant

A place to gather. A brand built to match.

Problem
Carnaby's wasn't just opening a restaurant — they were creating a destination. This culinary and events venue in East Fremantle needed a brand identity to match that ambition, starting from nothing: no logo, no visual language, no creative direction. The brief was to build an identity that could speak to multiple audiences at once — welcoming for locals, refined for special occasions, and distinct enough to stand out in a competitive dining scene.

Solution
The name became the anchor. Drawing on the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo's habitat, I built an identity rooted in Southern WA's landscape — a sophisticated palette, timeless typography, natural details without cliché. Every choice balanced modern refinement with local soul, classic charm without feeling dated. With the identity locked, I built a full brand guide and rolled it out across every touchpoint — print, digital, social, promotional — giving the venue a cohesive presence from day one. The result: not just a logo, but a brand built to bring people back.
