PROBLEM
Carnaby's wasn't just opening a restaurant, they were creating a destination. A culinary and events venue in East Fremantle needed a brand identity that could carry the weight of that ambition, but had nothing to start with. No logo, no visual language, no creative direction. The challenge was building something from scratch that could speak to multiple audiences at once: welcoming enough for the local community, refined enough for a special occasion, and distinct enough to stand apart in a competitive dining scene.

SOLUTION
The name itself became the creative anchor. Drawing from the serene habitat and quiet majesty of the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo, I built an identity rooted in Southern Western Australia's landscape; a sophisticated colour palette, timeless typography, and visual details that nod to the natural environment without leaning on it as a cliché. Every decision was made to strike the same balance: modern refinement with genuine local soul, classic charm without feeling dated.

With the identity locked, I developed a comprehensive brand guide and rolled it out across every touchpoint: print collateral, digital assets, social templates, and promotional materials, giving the venue a confident, cohesive presence from the moment doors opened. The client didn't just get a logo. They got a brand built to bring people back.
